Ingredients
3/4 cup 3/4 butter
1 1/2 cups 1 1/2 chopped celery (with leaves)
3/4 cup 3/4 finely chopped onion
9 cups 9 soft bread cubes
1 teaspoon 1 salt
1/2 teaspoon 1/2 ground sage
1 1/2 teaspoons 1 1/2 chopped fresh or 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
1/4 teaspoon 1/4 pepper
Directions
- Heat butter in dutch oven or large cast iron frying pan over medium-high heat.
- Cook celery and onion in butter about 2 minutes.
- Remove from heat.
- Stir in remaining ingredients.
- *I personally do not use the ground sage, do not like the taste.
